Who am I?

 




Hello class!  my name is Anais, I'm 18 years old and I live in Santiago of chile. I´m studying Geography at University of Chile and this is my second year. My purpose is help change the world with perspective more sustainable, this is the reason why I study geography.

About my family I can say you that I’m older sister and I have just one brother, he is 12 years old, whit the quarantine we spend a lot of time cooking together, my parents’ work every day, so always my brother and me are with my grandmother who lives my closer to us.

In my free time, I like to walk and go to the recycling center in the municipal also I watch movies.

    hi Anais, I am also an older sister, but in my case I only have one "sister". We like to cook together, although I always end up doing everything by myself and she gets the congratulations for being the baby, well it doesn't matter, it's still great to spend time with her.

    Hello Anais, I like that you have a specific purpose, is admirable. The world definitely needs more people like you.
    I'm also the older sister, I have three siblings, though. At least we've got a good thing with the quarantine, we got closer to our family.

    Hello Anais, I'm glad that you're consistent with what you think. I hope that your career helps you to have more knowledge of problems and possible solutions to change the world.

    It's good that you can share time with your brother. In my case I have a sister who is ten years old. I haven't seen her for several weeks due to the COVID-19 pandemic :ccc

Why did I choose my major?

  Hello class!❤ As I said in the previous post, I’m studying geography currently in my second year, I study this career because one day my teacher of history in the school told me that my interests for the environment and society are related whit the geography, but I still didn’t know what to study when I graduated. After I investigated about this career, it became was my first option. When I was a child, my dream job was to be a model, over the years I did many photographic sessions but nowadays it’s a hobbit for me. When I decided what to study, geography was my only option, I didn’t think other but really, I love my career. My experience at the university has been totally different, I planned go to class before the pandemic.  .My classmates motivate me to continue with virtual class, they are the best.

A subject you've enjoyed studing this semester

  Hello class, today I'll talk about my favorite subject this semester is local climatology, the class is very dynamic and the subject relates how the anthropic action of human beings has caused forced changes in the climate in different magnitudes, but in this subject is studied at a local scale as in a region or city. The contents we have seen are: Solar radiation, urban climate, climate change, climate perception, pollution, among others. I like this subject because we can study the effects of climate change in the different cities of our country and the future risks that the inhabitants will have to face, as extreme heat waves, extreme cold waves, frontal systems, etc. Consequently, the state must take new measures to combat these climatic phenomena because it is a risk for all city dwellers, ecosystems must also be protected to balance the effects of climate change, an example are the wetlands that help regulate the temperature, currently many of them are in danger.
